Oftentimes, images are enlarged and used around the premises, why buy in art when you can have your own!

Home Sittings

A really comfortable opportunity........... Studio images from your own front room, ...or Kitchen, garden, the park or grandpa’s barn Complete with tractor! ( yes really – 4 generations and the 80 year old tractor was central character)!!

 

High key studio images - or - put the lights away.. have natural shots using just the nearest window .. or giggly running around shots in the garden!

 

You have one to one attention, with as much time as you need, so if baby needs a nappy change or a breakfast top up – no problem .. and of course – rushing to find a parking space definately not an issue!

Early years

Working with nurseries and playgroups is a lovely opportunity, firstly it is an excellent fund raiser for the organisation, they know the children are about to have some fun, which helps as part of giving the children a nice day, and  the families absolutely love the pictures, and if any mums are loitering on the edges, they are soon dragged in to have a go - usually to protests of hair not being right and no make up on!!! - but that is immaterial once those beautiful interactions and loving expressions are caught. 

Childrens therapy centres are a particular interest of mine, and seems to be an area hugely overlooked, perhaps parents or carers (or even photographers)  think a photo shoot of children with special needs may be too much hassle, they will no doubt require extra patience and inventiveness!, but having a child of my own with physical challenges - as a parent to have thought there might have been a picture of  him at one of his sessions, sitting up all by himself, playing with friends, or holding a pencil or even just have a darn good giggle - or having a stubborn argument with his physio! would have been priceless!! 

Anyway, enough of that!  back to business....There is always a wide variety of shots to choose from and no limitations, so they can buy whatever they like.  I offer nurseries my school packages, which is a greatly discounted way of buying studio quality images including canvases and acrylics.  Prices start from £7.50 for two 5" x 4"  to £45.00 for a large pack and canvases from £85.00

Prom Night!

Prom night and especially the lead up (which may have started a year before) is so exciting!

All the planning, chatting, shopping - the spray tans and car hire finally sorted! - a lot of effort is required to get this show on the road!!

Would n't it be great to be absolutely sure of remembering every detail in the years to come!

There will be a souvenir photo available at the venue and  no doubt many mobile phone shots! but to ensure  a true memory, I can be available, quite similar to a wedding preparation, to take those candid special photos, - the glances and exchanges between dad and his daughter, the hugs from mum to her handsome and no doubt very tall son! and then some beautiful high glamour shots of when they are all ready.

If you wish to have any shots framed that there will be a wide choice, in the meantime I will be busy designing a beautiful hardback A3 book - which is really the storybook of the event, and something really special to look back on, as it is a published book, other friends and family can also therefore have their own copies.

 

School Photography

Well these school photo`s sure aint like they used to be! – and why should they!

 

The once a year school photo may be the parents only opportunity to have a studio quality image of their child.

 

So my aim is to show their child `just as they really are`

• If the child is shy and looking out from under her arm – but it’s how she really is`  - then it’s a great shot.
• If he’s a live wire and about to fall off his chair with laughter – but it`s how he really is` then it’s a great shot..
• There’s no need for the annual "pretend smile" – which might inevitably end up in the drawer?

 

Parents receive order forms with a variety of choices and will regularly ask for a larger print or canvas to be produced.

 

I have done school photography for many years, as a result – a hall full of mums and their babies doesn’t phase me! organising classes and keeping to a time schedule (which is paramount) – happens easily.

 

So..... If you are a head teacher reading this, then have confidence to book me – your parents will appreciate the change!

Weddings

I work very much on intuition, maybe it’s a female thing, but my aim is to build up a really good understanding of the couple, their personalities, sense of humour and style.

During the lead up, I will them in my heart as well as during the day, right up to the day when I hand over their box of goodies.

Thinking of them, what would they like and what will I see to make them reach for the tissues!

Your wedding day is a great story to be told, the emotion, the atmosphere, the funny moments and things you may not even see.

Your story is then presented as such in a wonderful hardback storybook, - designed by me, as to how I saw the day (no hard decision making on your part)!

When I first come to see you, all I will have is a notebook and pen (okay maybe a few images – for you to judge if my style if right for you alongwith personality – am I the right sort of character for you)?

I work in a very natural way, using only available and any ambient light (keeps me on my toes)! but also the images then have a very natural often surreal quality.

On the day, I am very calm, just quiety manoeuvre amongst the guests, taking care of things (it is not unusual to have the brides hairspray, perfume and lipstick in my camera bag)! leaving you to enjoy your experience in the knowledge it is all being safely captured for you.
